Business owners are quick. I mean, quick. By the time you have decided to do something, they've already done it and failed at it, and moved on to the next thing. You've got to speed up. This book is going to help you.

Today, I am writing about moving fast. Fast, fast, fast, fast, fast in order to succeed as a business owner, entrepreneur, or person in life. I wanted a shirt I made it fast. You gotta move fast. So today we are talking about the book You Are a Badass Every Day by Jen Sincero. The genre of the book is non-fiction. The theme of the book is self-improvement, motivation, and success.

This is my girl. I was reading You Are A Badass at Making Money because I love it. So I'm reading You Are a Badass Every Day, and it is now on the annual list. Jen Sincero just taps into my brain in a way that makes sense to me, and I'm grateful for it. I've even read a lot of the books she mentions here, like The Science of Getting Rich, Bob Proctor, and some Neville Goddard. She gets it. So I was rereading this, and then I was like, what else does she have? And that's how I found this.

And then in the course of my research, was like, well, you gotta go back to the original which I actually own, which is you are a badass. And so this is my girl. The way she writes makes sense to me. Her audiobooks are typically read by her, so you get to enjoy her comedic humor. I'm locked in. When Jen Sincero says you need to move fast, you need to move fast.

Manifestation without the action is nothing. Visualization without the effort is a daydream.

My favorite quote from the book is “visualize whatever new situation you are excited about and not screwing up about. See it, feel it, own it. Do something that will advance you towards this new reality that scares the holy heck out of you, that makes you extremely uncomfortable, or that pushes you beyond what you once pretended your limits were.”

What does this look like in life? I think I would like to order more merch for my website. That's not scary. Done. Oh, needed more business cards. That's not extremely exciting. I wanted to record a live podcast episode. Whoa, so many logistics! I gotta find the guest. I gotta find the venue. I gotta find the topics. I gotta find And one step forward. Instead of panicking, Jen Sincero is asking you to move quickly! Visualize, daydream, think, then work. Then work and work and work. Manifestation without the action is nothing. Visualization without the effort is a daydream.

Dreams are great. Daydreaming is something that is lofty. Dreaming is often about something you actually want because if you want it, you have to work for it. And that's what You Are A Badass Every Day is all about. The book literally starts off with Jen Sincero explaining how she attended a great conference or read a great book and thought, “My goodness! How amazing,” then you get in your car and go home and you forget everything. We want to stop doing that. You Are A Badass Every Day is a small book. It’s a little guy, full of small chapters and quotes that you can use immediately. Immediately!

And so why does it matter? Because you need to be able to pick this up and just read a little snippet about life every day. It's not long. Most of this book honestly is white space because she doesn't need that much space to tell you what you need to do. There was another quote I think I wanted to say, no matter how small a task is, when it's in the direction of your goal, it adds to your progress. So you're going to want to treat it like the big deal that it is. However small the task is giving you progress towards the bigger goal and you're going to want to treat it like the big deal that it is.

Everybody is going to grab something different from the book. What I grabbed was you got to get up, and you got to be fast. And so I'm excited because I first read the book in 2025 and I immediately knew I would read it again and again. The repetition is what allows you to learn the material. The repetition is what creates change. Repetition is what gets you to do new things. The repetition of hearing her say get up and do it and she's written all of these books.

Well, I have to get up and go do some work. I want to take my dreams and turn them into action. I love talking about books, and I love talking about productivity. Let me go be productive.

Until the next book review,

Kyla
