You Are A Badass Book Review

Inspirational books are all the same. Go do this. You can do anything. Oh, you're so fancy. No, you are a badass. Keep reading to find out what book we're talking about today. 

Hi, my name is Kyla Denanyoh. Today, we're discussing the book "You're a Badass." Jen Sincero wrote this book. The book's genre is nonfiction. The theme of the book is an inspirational and motivational business story. 

Would I reread this book? Yes. Yes, I've already read it at least twice and decided to pick it up again. I was, you know, going through things and working on the YouTube outlining books, and I was like, 'Can I do this?' Can I really do this? Yeah, I can. I'm a badass. I can do anything. I can do it! And I picked up the book again, and I reread it. Okay. And so, of course, when I read a book, I always get something new out of the book. 

This time, when I reread the book, one of the most important quotes to me was, "Fear lives in the future." Five little words. I know I've read them before. They jumped out at me, right? Of course, the plot twist, the quotes, and everything that I mentioned in these book reviews is something that I'm going through right now. However, this quote about the fear of living in the future is particularly relevant to me at the moment.

I'm doing all kinds of things that are terrifying me. I took my bi-weekly podcast and made it a weekly show. Do I have the recordings for it? Yes. Am I terrified of all the work? Yes. Am I outside my comfort zone, and is that what's fearful? Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. All of it. All of it is fearful. Am I doing book reviews on YouTube? Yes. Is that fearful? Yes. Why? Because are you going to watch it? I mean, thank you for watching, but who else will watch it? What if nobody watches it? What if it's terrible? What if you hate my shirt? Fear lives in the future. Fear is about, what about, what if this, what if that, what happens? 

When you're present, there's no fear right here because right now, all I'm doing is existing. I'm living, I'm talking, I'm working. Fear lives in the future. Fear is all about the unknown. Fear is not what's happening right now. Even if you were in a scary movie, you're afraid that the person's going to get you. What's going to happen then? Fear is in the future. Dang. 

That was really groundbreaking for me. Fear lives in the future. That quote, when I tell you, jumped, jumped off the page. Because I'm doing a lot of things that are pushing me outside of my comfort zone, but you know what? I can do them because this book tells me that I can. This book is incredible. Every time I read it, I catch something else. The tagline of the book is, 'How to Stop Doubting Your Greatness and Start Living an Awesome Life,' because you are a badass. I was like, man. 

I'm not sure if I even noticed the tagline of the book, 'How to Stop Doubting Your Greatness and Start Living an Awesome Life.' That's precisely what I'm doing right now. I will no longer doubt my greatness. I will live an awesome life because I'm a badass, and I'm not cursing; that's, that's the quote. Badass, as a noun, refers to someone incredible, challenging the norms, and getting their work done.
