Nothing compares to the love that one has for their daughter. Unless we're talking about the love you have for your grandkid. Familial love is great. Keep reading to find out what book we're talking about today.

Hey, I'm Kyla Denanyoh. So today, we're talking about the book The Night She Disappeared. This book is written by Lisa Jewell. The book's genre is fiction. The theme of the book is suspense thriller.

So I was going on a kick for scary books. I didn't do it intentionally. I did it, but maybe not entirely, because I was distracted by the titles. I thought, 'Oh, let me write this.' Is it a suspenseful book? 100%. Is it a thrilling book? 100%. The ending still has me saying, 'What?'

This book was about multiple generations of love, as well as an intimate relationship between a mother and a father. There's a quote in the book that I have to read, as it's quite lengthy. Men don't know how having a baby can make you protective of your skin, your body, your space. When you spend that day giving yourself to a baby in every way that is possible to another human being, the last thing you want at the end of the night is a grown man asking you to give something else.

So, That's a lot. You have the protective nature of your skin and your space. You have the relationship of being a mother and having a small child. You have the relationship with this other person coming in and wanting things, and you're like, ' But you're grown. ' Why do I gotta care for you too? I already care for this person who cannot care for themselves, my child, and now I gotta give to you.

And so, there were many layers here, without giving away too much of the story, which is indicative because Tallulah has a relationship with Zach, the man who wants her to give more. Then, Tallulah is also still dependent on her mother for things, so it's as if that quote applies to Tallulah's relationship with Zach. Still, it also applies to Tallulah's relationship with her mother, Kim. Because Kim is like, I'm already giving to you in every way possible, and now you're always asking for more. Now, there's a grandbaby that's even asking for more. And so, I love it. It is a very, very good read. It's a very good read.

Would I reread this book? Yes, I would, and PLEASE turn it into a movie, PLEASE. I would love to see somebody turn it into a film because I would absolutely read it, and I'm eager to see who would play Tallulah. That could be some excellent casting.

Until the next book review, Kyla
