There are all these possible suspects, but you don't know what has happened yet. Are we going to find out who it was? Is there going to be a second occurrence? Are they both going to like that you're on the edge of your seat the whole time?
Hey, it's Kyla Denanyoh. Today, we're talking about the book The Golden Couple. The authors of the book are Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen. The book's genre is fiction. The theme of the book is suspense thriller.
This book was tough to read because I thought I knew what was going to happen, but I had no idea. One of the most critical aspects of the story is that Avery is neither a licensed therapist nor a psychiatrist. I'm reading it, I'm reading it, I'm waiting for Avery to have an affair with one of the people in the couple, fall in love with them. No.
And so I'm like, Kyla, read the pages. Don't try to anticipate what's happening. So, Avery didn't need to be a licensed therapist psychologist, but she was still able to help them. Why didn't you? What is she hiding? What's the big deal with Avery? And it turns out that that was kind of like a red herring, just something to kind of draw your eye and think you were getting into, and you kind of weren't.
This book could be categorized as a thriller, suspenseful because you're on edge waiting to find out. You're like the golden couple; everybody wants to be them. Oh, they're so attractive. Oh, they have a perfect family. How could this thing happen? Okay, something's going on there with Matthew, but then Marissa, but then, okay, what's gonna happen? Okay, but Marissa really loves Matthew, but Matthew, oh my gosh, Marissa broke his heart. You're waiting, you're waiting, you're waiting, and you're like, what's gonna happen? I just knew it. But I didn't know.
And that's not giving away the whole book. I hope that intrigues you enough for you to want to pick up the book and read The Golden Couple because they're the sweetest, most attractive, and most brilliant golden couple. And they get all kinds of drama and all types of mess going on. Okay.
Until the next book review, Kyla
